NOTE:
1. The service time estimation is based on the "EE*EU" rate average of all peripherals combination (configuration) targeted in the marketing point.
2. The service time estimation is based on the hardware related only. Any calls related to connectivity, repeat calls, return calls, or other
miscellaneous calls, which varies depending on the service operation system of each sales company, are not included in this calculation.
3. MTTR data described in the above table is only for working time to replace, lubricate, adjust and clean the required items.
Time required for
parts preparation is not included (e.g. time for unpacking the part or preparing tools).
4. The print count-based PM MTTR is calculated with the following color ratio:
B/W: FC = 70:30
Definitions:
EM: Immediate maintenance performed for failures caused by factors other than CE or customer errors.
EE Ratio: Estimated equipment ratio for peripherals
EU Ratio: Estimated usage ratio for peripherals.
5. “Meter Charge Mode” can be activated for each individual unit (PCU, fusing, ITB). This is used when it is judged that the CE should replace the
unit, since when activated, the end alert will not be displayed for that unit. Therefore, it is possible to decide which units will be replaced by the
user, and which will be replaced by the CE (in which case Meter Charge mode would be set).
Note: See the “Alert Display and Machine Condition” table in section 7.1.1 below.
6. When using Meter Charge mode, the expected yield of a given unit is longer than with user maintenance mode, however the MPBF is shorter.
Yields with Meter Charge mode are also approximately the same as those with the MFP model (B224).
- Yield of black PCU/Color PCU: 80k prints
- Yield of fusing unit/ITB: 160k prints
- MPBF: 100k prints
7. The following table shows calculated maintenance times for when Meter Charge mode is used.
Type 1 and Type 2 below represent what are estimated to be the two most common combinations of CE/user replacement in the field for this
product.
Type 1: The CE replaces all three units, with PM intervals of 80k and 160k prints.
Type 2: The CE replaces the fusing unit and ITB, while the user replaces the PCU, with a PM interval of 160k.
