CONFIGURATION
following diagram.
Use identical media if available. Otherwise wait.: If
you have activated this option, if a roll is empty the program
checks the following question "Is an identical roll available in
the plotter as substitute for the empty roll?" At first it does not
matter whether this roll is needed for a pending entry or not.
If an identical "substitute roll" is actually in the plotter, then
the printing process can be continued without interruption. If
no identical roll can be found, then the printing process is
stopped and a message appears that a roll has run empty. If
you now insert a new roll in the plotter, the message
disappears automatically and the printing process continues.
A second possibility is to click on "Next" in the message
dialogue box to start processing the job on another roll. It is
possible that the empty roll is specified as the paper source
in the job settings. In this case, an error message and an
error page would be printed. Additional error processing
depends on the settings under "Error Handling".
Note: If the "Media Source" option in the job editor is
set to "auto", the job entry is printed on any roll with a
compatible size.
Use any other media: If a roll has run empty, the printing
process is not stopped but can be continued. The empty roll
is ignored and the pending entries are printed on the other
rolls as far as possible (see below).
Further processing now depends on the job settings. It is of
course possible that this not replaced roll is demanded
explicitly in an job. In this case an error message and an
error page would be printed. The further behavior of the
program then depends on the settings under "Fault
processing".
But if you have selected the "auto" setting (any roll) in the job
editor for an entry, then the entry is printed on any role with
suitable attributes. This job is not necessarily dependent on
the missing roll.
