4. Setting Originals
This chapter describes how to set an original to be scanned with this machine.
It is possible to set an original on the exposure glass or the ADF. To scan several
pages successively, using the ADF is convenient.
Sizes and Weights of Recommended
Originals
Note
❒ When you scan the thick originals — originals thicker than 128g/m
2
(242.5bls) — with the ADF, set the paper thickness changeover lever to your
side. After scanning, return the lever to the back side.
❒ It may not be possible to scan a full color original even if it meets require-
ments of the chart above. See “Readme.txt” in the CD-ROM for details.
